Near Madison Square garden. Pod-style rooms, shared bathrooms. $80-100/night.

The Jane Hotel
$125/night, in Chelsea. The rooms are tiny and they have shared bathrooms, but it's a gorgeous old hotel.

The Flat NYC
Near the Flatiron Building. Slightly nicer, $150 with shared bathroom, $200 with private bathroom.

The Central Park North
One of our two closest options! Easy walking distance to Cathedral. $200/night (plus or minus depending on size/amenities of room - some with private bathrooms).

Chelsea Inn
Near the High Line. Nice rooms, shared bathrooms, NO ELEVATOR. $200-225/night

Hotel Newton
Upper West Side. Boutique, a bit more upscale, fairly close to venue (a goodly walk, but doable for someone eager to move).

Park West Hotel
Upper West Side. Just as close as Central Park North, but more expensive. Gorgeous space, gorgeous views of the park, only a few minute walk to the Cathedral. $225-300/night.
